Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between a snowcone and a "copo"?

Here, we are more familiar with "snowcones", but these tend to be made of crushed ice. This gives a crunchy texture which doesn't allow the flavors to be evenly distributed.

A copo (shave ice) is made from shaving a large block of ice. The result is fluffy white snow, to which we add delicious flavors and toppings. It is light, fluffy, and bursting of flavor right down to the last mouthful.

What does copo mean?
"Copo" is what they call shave ice, in Costa Rica. Think of freshly fallen snow (that's clean!) smothered with delicious flavors and toppings. Que Rico!😋
